
How often do we find ourselves engaging in patterns that negatively impact our daily functioning causing emotional, physical, spiritual or financial discomfort? It is not surprising that when we repeat certain patterns the outcome remains the same. We may have tried to solve these challenges by using existing coping strategies, but they are not effective . This can cause one to ask, “How do I move forward?”
As a clinical psychologist I believe that personal growth is an ongoing process and change is attainable. In my practice, I view problems as barriers to progress not fixed pathology. I embrace a “grass roots” approach to treatment utilizing solution focused techniques that incorporates psychological and cultural perspectives. My professional strength lies not only in my academic training but also in my ability to incorporate the realities of daily living in the process. As a result, one is encouraged to identify and further strengthen their ability to live a fuller and enriching life.
